Scott Leeds
is Senior Partner with Leeds Colby Paris Spence Hoffman & Valori.
In addition to a 1983 law degree from the University of Miami Law
School, Leeds received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1979 in pharmacy
from St. Johns University in New York.
A member of
the Florida Bar since 1983, Leeds is also a licensed pharmacist
in New York and Florida. The combined knowledge of law and pharmacy
makes him particularly effective when representing clients in medical
malpractice, nursing home negligence and personal injury litigation.
Leeds served as the lead attorney in the so-called Cuban Spy
Case Martinez vs. Republic of Cuba -- obtaining a verdict
of $27 million.
Leeds is a member
of the prestigious, by-invitation-only, Law and Leading Attorneys
Directory and is a frequent lecturer to groups of practitioners
in both the field of law and medicine. He has appeared on CBS
60 Minutes and ABCs 20/20.
Leeds is an
active member of the American Society for Pharmacy Law, the American
Bar Association, Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, Association of
Trial Lawyers of America and Dade County Trial Lawyers Association.
Leeds is active
in the Miami community serving as vice-president of the Miami Childrens
Museum, a board member of the Miami Childrens Museum Charter
School and on the board of directors of the Pinecrest Charter Academy.
