Motorcycle injury nets $3.5mm

A Christmas party turned tragic for a young
man riding his motorcycle. A pharmaceutical company manager had been drinking heavily at the party when he got behind the wheel of his car. He ran into the motorcyclist breaking over 75% of his bones and causing severe injuries that would ultimately require more than ten major surgeries. Fearing for his job and his reputation, the drunk driver went to great lengths to disguise the alcohol – including applying cologne and chewing gum. It didn’t work.
