The nationally
recognized law firm Leeds Colby Paris has added three name partners;
J.B. Spence, known as the dean of torts and the first attorney to
garner a million-dollar plus verdict in Florida; Richard W. Hoffman,
a former defense attorney who specialized in nursing home and extended-care
facility defense; and Raymond Valori, a mass torts and product liability
and personal injury specialist.
Re-named Leeds
Colby Paris Spence Hoffman & Valori, the firm has offices in
Miami and New York City and specializes in all types of personal
injury, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, premises and
product liability issues, mass torts litigation and complex civil
litigation in Florida and in New York State. The 20-person, multi-lingual
firm has a proven track record representing clients in such high-profile
cases as the Valu-Jet disaster, Fen-Phen diet drug case, Bridgestone-Firestone
roll-over tragedy and a class action suit against the makers of
breast implants. The most widely publicized case handled by the
firm is perhaps the so-called "Cuban Spy Case" (Martinez
vs. Republic of Cuba) in which a team of attorneys lead by senior
partner Scott Leeds won a $27-million verdict for their client against
the government of Cuba. Further information about the firm is available
